Autism Services Program

To address a growing societal need, CARC will launch its innovative Autism Services Program on November 16, 2009. According to the Autism Society of America, 1.5 million people in the U.S. have some form of autism. CARC’s Autism Services Program will promote functional, age-appropriate, individualized, active and diverse programming to help men and women with autism enhance their communication, social and basic job skills. The program will feature Person Centered Planning with strong emphasis on family involvement and home community. » Learn More

Field Foundation of Illinois

The Field Foundation of Illinois has continued its strong support of CARC with a $15,000 grant award in support of CARC's Arts Program. This is the third consecutive $15,000 grant. Yes, 2009 was indeed a trying year for CARC and all community-based nonprofit service providers in Illinois. Looking back on the year it may be impossible not to recall the budget crisis. However, what is so much more memorable to me is how we responded. When the challenges were the greatest, the people who comprise CARC banded together. When we were tested, we worked harder.
