Pillow Manufacturing

On a large percentage of domestic airlines passenger pillows, there is an inconspicuous tag on each of the passenger pillows. On one side, there is a simple message: "Rest easy...this pillow is made by men and women with developmental disabilities who take pride in the jobs they do."

This message is seen on pillows in Hyatt Hotels throughout the country, Amtrak trains, and in Chicago hospitals as well.

For airline travelers and hotel guests, pillows equate to a more comfortable trip or stay; for over 100 adults with developmental disabilities, pillows equate to jobs and a better standard of living. Envision workers have manufactured pillows for 30 years. Every year, the workforce at Envision's Halas Work Center, located at 8560 S. Vincennes in Chicago, produce more than one million pillows for major airlines, hotels, hospitals and other businesses, making Envision a national leader in pillow production.
